Fall In December


For now the fall has come,
the timely death has been undone;
forsakes a life lived with peril,
light thru the alley becomes slightly narrow.

For all he has seen,
places he wished he had been;
a life of emptiness beyond repair,
sadness, madness, sorrow and despair,

Summer has come, the day is done,
Fall has come, his life is gone,

A teardrop falls miles away,
the one lone heart he managed to sway;
lonely is this one who cried,
surrounded by friends and lovers who have died.

Life as it may seem,
a distant memory or dream;
one thing remains still,
without the love a heart will not fill.

Summer has come, the day is done,
